Yes, precisely! I feel like they'd ought to have a lot of flees too and just be super bizarre in general.

Me and Katie (oddosprey) had been wondering if a Shinlai with three eyes bred with one with two eyes, would it be possible for the kid to have three eyes on one side and two eyes on the other side of their head?!?! It would be a weird mix of creepy and oh-the-poor-baby :'D
Although we then thought they'd be able to have an awesome mask with a fake eye on it e3e

Dude that would be really interesting. I wonder if that would be like a taboo thing to shinlai? Not the two kinds breeding, but kids coming out like that. I know that Arkady certainly freaked out over his poor, deformed daughter.

I doubt it would be, I mean accidents are bound to happen, and uneven eyes are easier to hide (thank daila for masks!) than EXTRA LIMBS lookin' you arkady with your wonky genes
but it would be akin to our world, double looks for minor things, maybe questions for the more extreme stuff. but close knit communities might be more comfortable for those individuals than busy cities.

hEY maybe a Chimaeric Shinlai? If its genes are distributed in a mosaic, it could be a Shinlai with two or more complete sets of genes like how calico cats are c: Dominant gene islands smooshed against each other at the edges but no inherent competition between isles (so for mismatched eye numbers, each side of the head would be on a different 'isle')
It could have implications for Balanced Shinlai too..!
It could still be a rare phenomenon, luck of the genetic draw or complications with pollution or prenatal care? If amphibians can be ecological indicators sprouting legs willy-nilly, then why not creatures whose very lives are tied with the elements
