If you think your character is signifigant to the story, lemme know and we'll talk. C;

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
'At last, the rain has finally receded.
...For the monent, at least.'
The shaggy female picked her way over a puddle and a broad smear of mud, her dainty paws making a soft thump as they gently drummed against the soaking earth. Though she was quite a large animal, Denali was rather petite compared to others of her kind.
Water from the previous downpour graced everything about the glade. It pooled between the gnarled roots of trees, and dappled the leaves and blades of grass with tiny beads of the silvery liquid. The air smelled of fresh soil, mingled with the divine scent of recently-bloomed flowers.
Eventually coming to a stop beneath a weeping willow tree, she cleared away a few strands of lush ferns to make a spot for herself.
Gazing towards the sky, her vision was engulfed by the ancient willow. It's long, wispy branches were now dazzling with the small droplets, like a jewel-encrusted crown; they curled towards her calico frame like slender, feeble fingers.
At it's base an insignia had been carved into the rough bark. A curious Denny peered closer to try and make out the strange symbol as her crimson optics blinked and narrowed. Shrugging off the futile attempt, she settled onto her her side with a huff and a flop.
Sweat prickled along the Shinlai's spine, despite the sun which had just lifted itself over the horizon, indicating a brand new day. The summer morning was already hot and Denali sighed heavily, wishing there was some way to escape the encompassing heat. Obviosly the rain hadn't cooled things off too much.
But for now she would reside here and relax, basking in the lively aura that the forest around her emitted. Denali's favorite time was always after it rained: when everything seemed to pop with color and become green again. Like one big sigh of relief or renewal.
Fwoosh!
Denali jumped, arching her back and staring down a patch of ferns that had...
caught on fire? No...
Were giving off smoke?
She could see it, and definitely smell the rancid, thick odor that the smoke released, but she couldn't detect any fire.
Leaping to her feet, the splotched beast inaudibally lunged forward and nosed her way through the wall of lengthy ferns. As she parted them just enough to show one eye and see, but not enough to reveal herself, the air Lai studied cautiously at what caused the smoke.
There they stood, the stranger, coated in cinnamon and cream fur. They were twisting and turning their wrist which they held before them, manipulating a small flame which they seemed to be controling. Moments later, they snapped their wrist, and the flame vanished in mid air. They blinked their crystaline eyes, a pair of bright aqua orbs that lay upon an ornate, red and white mask.
Denali shrank back, blankly looking at the shrubbery in front of her as if she was still staring at the mysterious being. 'Who was he? He must have been practicing him element. So they're a fire Shinlai? Hmm..' Once again poking her head through the plants, she spied on the other Lai with wonder. Contemplating on showing and introducing herself, she decided to remain hidden instead.
'Odd to see others around these parts. I've always thought I was the only inhabitant... Perhaps they are a traveler?'
Finally, sorry, it took me ages :P
Sometimes it happened, that it started to rain on Ronon's journey. Just like now. The sky was darker and darker and the wind was blowing so fast - cloudburst. He had to find shelter quickly.
***
Curled up in his shelter, he opened his icy-blue eyes. The rain stopped. Finally. Birds began to sing joyfully again. Humidity was still in the air and everything glittered. Droplets were on plants, rocks, moss and it was so beautiful to look at. Ronon scrambled out from under the fallen trunk leaning against the rock and his feet sank into soft loam. Puddles were everywhere, sometimes even mud.
He went into the wet woods and tried to avoid puddles. He did not like wetness and dirt. It totally pissed when he had dirty or wet fur. And now he was whole wet and looked terrible. He shook himself, drops of water flying through the air and fell on ferns and tree trunks. Bent down and looked at his belly. Water trickled over his sides and legs.
I should dry my hair. This is annoying.
The sun peeked from behind the clouds and slowly began to shine. The sun's rays penetrated into the forest and shined at all the drops. Today will probably be a hot day, the sun has quite the power and it is still morning.
As he was walking through the forest, sun was shining more and more. He decided to find a place where he could dry his fur and wait before the land will be without puddles and tall grass will not be wet. Gracefully climbed over fallen trunks and avoided to step into muddy places. It was quite remarkable, given its size and cardinality.
In the distance he saw a small Meadow where the sun was shining. He headed in that direction and quickened his pace. When you arrived, smiled and looked around. The place was perfect. The short grass was already dry, around the vegetation of ferns, and then continue to grow several weeping willows. The place he really liked. He stepped into the soft grass and moss, found a nice place and lay down. He was enjoying the sun and in the satisfaction he closed his eyes. He was listening the sing of birds and blowing of the wind. But after a while he got bored. Sprawled in the sun and blinked. The clouds raced across the sky and the trees swayed. Then he sat down, shook himself and thought. Perhaps it would not hurt to train my skills.
Stretched out his paw, shook it and concentrated. Above his palm flashed him a small flame. At first, modest, barely burned, but after a while amplified and formed into small orb. Then again, it became a flame and shinlai tried to move it. Flame ascended above, almost up to his head. Then it flew left and then right. He flew through the air like a small comet. For a while it seemed that no one controls it, but his every movement was precisely planned. Fireball was moving faster and faster, flying here and there and shinlai was smiling. Finally, flame flew into the wet bunch of ferns and it extinguished.
Bravo bravo! Clapped his hands for himself and was satisfied. On the right palm he lit another flame, bigger and stronger. Tossing it from hand to hand, finally kept it over his left paw and stared at it intently. Flame enlarged and burned more and more. Then he began to shrink, almost extinguished, and Ronon let it burn again. He jerked his wrist and the flame disappeared.
He got up and walked into the shade. He wanted try to burn something wet, wet ferns after the rain. Shinlai sit before a small clump of ferns and began to concentrate. For a long time nothing happened. Until suddenly appeared on the leaf fern small spark. He tried to keep it, clenching the muscles and stretching his paws around ferns. Taking a deep breath and tried again to burn spark. Succes - from a small spark became a flame, slowly burning wet leaf. Only very slowly widened and leaped to the next leaf. When he finally could say that it is a fire, Ronon breathed. Then he just controlled the fire with his left paw, it burned slowly clump of ferns.
