Design the DB Symbol Mini Contest <3

I guess I'll have a mini-darkblood contest <3


Design the symbol that will represent the Darkblood Revolution and you'll win a chibi from me <3 Deadline is September 28, two weeks to draw a symbol xD I think that's enough <3 I can choose to use the symbol, or make a slight alteration if need be. I have a idea of what I want, but something better could pop up from you guys xD <33

Found it! I already have some ideas. Its okay that I don't have a darkblood? -not yet anyways- :3
I like them none the less and maybe someday I can use that story I wrote for my tryout -sketches symbols-

To explain why I did the design is that its sort of a blend between dark and balance since those were the elements not created by Daila as said by Darius. The three dots things that form a triangle represent Darius and his sons Denton and Silas. The top part where the part of balance is going up means that the darkness is taking over.
Freehanded the thing so its not exactly even :s

Thats really cool! I love the idea it makes it much more personal to Darius.

My sister wants to know if she can take part. She really likes make that sort of thing has some skill in calligraphy and she likes the darkbloods. May she take part? She is a little shy about joining things so I will submit it for her.

Hmmm... I would prefer her to be a member xD That way if she was to win, she can be recognized and awarded.

I have been trying to figure out a symbol for a Clan I made up long time ago still. I mite try this though.

I used everything related to Darius' family in this I could think of. The horns and the tassle. I based the shape mostly of the dark shinlai symbol. I hope that is ok. I worked pretty hard on it.

and yes these are all three separate entries, i'm just too lazy to put them on separate pictures, plus this is neater. xD

1 = a dark element symbol that i touched up a bit in my own ways, and it resembles an eye; symbolic for darkbloods are always watching, or you cannot hide from darius/darkbloods(inspired by the sickeningly adorable phrase "you can run but you cant hide" xD ♥ ) and they will find you.

2 = a mixture of 1 and 3 lol, incase the first isnt elaborate enough, or the third is too gaudy.

3 = a dark element symbol surrounded by a shinlai-skull-shape-thing, representing that death follows the darkbloods. and yes, Kordeth horns; i feel icky though because i think someone else might have already incorperated horns into theirs :c
also, the boxy-shapy-thingy around the dark symbol is supposed to sort of look like a coffin.
the skull itself only has one eye, sort of vaguely meaning that they are all united as one or something idk. IT SOUNDED A LOOOOT COOLER IN MY HEAD LOL

This is my entry for the contest :3

I wanted the symbol to be simple, yet have the core Darkbloods with it. I have the tag of the Kordeth bloodline, representing the ultimate leader of the Revolution, Darius, and his sons who are certainly helping move it along. (I always really liked that picture of Silas with that one quote "Today, my brothers, we rise!" so I assume that they help a good deal.) The tag's golden ring that connects it to the horns of the Kordeth's serves as the dot in the middle of the Dark Element symbol, the tag serving as the line that follows it. The ring around it and the dot above are simply ink. I figured the symbol not only needs to be simple for clarity, but also conveniance. Shinlai paws weren't exactly meant to write and when they do- it's quite messy. This keeps it nice and simple so Shinlai can paint it anywhere they please without help or assitance. It's seen painted by unruly Darkbloods like teenage graffitti I think :) I thought the Dark element and the Kordeths are the best embodiment of the Revolution, so I centered it around that :]

I also didn't want to make the symbol too threatening with eyes or bones because the Darkblood Revolution doesn't mean *death* it means a new life I think. One where the Dark element isn't feared and they are "free" from "false beleifs" of Daila :] I think that's how Darius would put it.

Hope you like it! Despite it's simplicity I went though quite a lot before I decided on this XD

The insignia was simple, and contrasted very nicely against the Dailian Symbol (Kordeth horns vs. Daila's horns). It would be easy for all db's to reproduce onto Armor, flags, graffiti, and even more!
