Nth's Hole-in-the-Wall for random poetic poems of poetry.

Every so often I will post a random poem I made up on the spot. The topic could be anything from epic battles to odes about food. Feel free to apply them to Elaisian characters. I'm making then Shinlai-forum public domain.

Lest ye fall

What becomes of those unseen?
Who does the fire of time beseige?
All is lost on the pursuit of such knowledge,
as there is nothing to be gained.

Lest ye fall into the light, or the hands of darkness.
You might become the beacon of truth,
or the whistle in the wind.
All is not as it seems in the greater scheme
Can you not see that?

Resemblance
Your face in the mirror mocks my own.
Old memories are here to stay.
The boiling water of you seems to never stray.
Why can't you simply go away!

No ballad can shatter the mirror's truth.
It stands as a testament to those days gone by.
My comrade, my friend till the end.
These days we must mend.

Please don't totally go into the darkness.
I need someone to be there.
We will stand until the end of time.
Together we will rhyme.
