I feel like starting an RP...... hopefully it will last more than five pages :c

It is late morning, and the sun shines warmly on the peaceful meadow nestled between snow capped mountains. The biege female dozed in the warm rays, ignoring and ignored by a herd of deer grazing on the lush grass. She stretched lazily, and yawned, dropping her head back onto her forepaws.
"So board...." She sighed.

Callandrea was hunched into her whole she was excavating using her Earth element, blood,and sweat. She used her claws to push the rocky debris back between her rear feet. Her paws ached now, as she had just reached the silver vein she had felt within the stone. of the hillside. It was cold, but she felt on fire within her tunnel into the side of the rock face, the "foxhole" effect of hard work and moving rock and the closed-in feeling of the air within her hole.

Candy stepped out of the tunnel and moved to a sunny spot to cool a little. She had left her friends behind to sell at the town near the foothills.

She felt vulnerable, for once, despite all that she knew she could do by herself. It was odd to feel completely alone... that feeling she so hated and avoided. Candy looked out into the distance, seeing a golden-colored lai... though, at this distance, she was not sure as to who it was.

While transversing through the meadow Jagter noticed two shinlai in the distance "Two shinlai here I wonder what their doing?" Jagter looked around to get a hint of what the shinlai where doing. "That one is digging a burrow and the other one is sleeping...maybe." He raised his hand and walked toward the shinlai "I just hope they're friendly." he thought

(it's been forest since I've been on here. I was on a vacation and when I got back school started. D: it's been kind of busy but. Now things are going slower. I think I can handle this XD.)

Selousi was following behind Jagter, stepping slowly and silently she could follow him with large steps. The area was beautiful, she had to admit. Following Jagter was a great idea. The air was crisp and set with the smell of dew. A small hushed whistle was being emitted from the small blades of green grass. She couldn't take any of the flowers with her, no matter how much she wanted to. Any fungus might last for a long trip back to her cove but flowers would droop and die. Plus this wasn't exactly the season to grow anything. Selousi greatly disliked using her power to manipulate living things. The only reason she would is to make soil more fertile or bring up nutrients into soil. She sighed, but caught her breath. She had completely trailed off and forgot that Jagter was in front of her. A sigh could sound like a huff of a bear to him. His target for when he wanted to show off to his guild. She took a quick step to the side for precaution.

Volpe padded softly among the meadow, his pawsteps making barely a noise on the ground. However he heard many noises, most distinctly among them being the footsteps of a human. He growled to himself, a low rumbling noise that struck fear into the hearts of many creatures. He tossed his head in frustration, and shook the cowel he was wearing farther over his head, covering his eyes. It wasn't like he could see anyways, and the intimidating pattern of the scarf- three bloodshot eyes against a pattern of soft creams and golds. The scarf kept most of his face hidden, but still couldn't manage to cover all the damage done to the left side of his face.

Breeze stired, she wasn't sure, but she'd thought she'd heard others. The wind slowly changed direction, flowing from the reaches of the meadow towards her. The faint foosteps of a human, and sigh of a shinlai... a shinlai digging at the other end of the field. She turned towards the digger, increasing the flow of air towards her from that direction, and catching a familiar sent.

Realesing her control on the air, she stood, stretched and trotted off towards Candy, the bells hanging from her horn jangled with every step.

when Jagter had heard the growl he nearly tripped forward he ran behind Selousi. Jagter quickly readied his crossbow and took aim at the mysterious shinlai "This one isn't friendly is he the alpha male?" In his rush of confusion Jagter realised he hadn't loaded his crossbow. "Damn almost forgot about that!"
Jagter inspected the shinlai and immediately notice the cowl. While it seem strange to him he also thought it a bit funny and figured "That cowl is obscuring it's vision some person must of put it on the shinlai as a prank."

Breeze was here, she noted, feeling the wind change direction, then watching the pastel-colored shinlai approach. Yes, it was her, she thought decidedly, as she caught a whiff of her scent and heard the bell on the breeze... her tail swayed behind her, stopping suddenly as a strange shinlai and a human came into view... as well as a shinlai far off. She didn't know the shinlai... but wasn't too sure about meeting new shinlai with no one to help her fight, should push come to shove....

"This one isn't friendly is he the alpha male?"

A grin stretched wide on Volpe's face, his teeth flashing menacingly. Did the human truly think that Shinlai had a society that was little more than a pack of wolves? "Clearly you're unfamiliar with our society, human." Volpe growled. He raised his head, standing a good four feet taller than Jagter.

"That cowl is obscuring it's vision some person must of put it on the shinlai as a prank."

"Do you think me deaf or are you just plain stupid?" Volpe laughed, eyes narrowing. He pulled the cowl back, and the scarf hung limply on his neck. He blinked, each pair closing and opening one after the other- it had an eerie effect. His blind eyes fixed on Jaegter, he hadn't yet noticed Selousi. While Volpe was a good actor and enjoyed intimidating the human so, he couldn't see anything. And he was, quite intimidating, the scars on his left side were caused by glass- but easily passed for wounds from a much larger creature.

Volpe's hearing was better than most, and he hissed violently when he heard the crossbow being loaded. He halted his approach, unsure if he should keep this game up. His fur bristled, making his lithe frame seem bigger. "You dare raise your weapon against me, boy?"

"You dare raise your weapon against me, boy?" The shinlai said. Jagter pause "I'm raising my weapon to defend myself." he said bravely all the while studying the situation "Plus I'm in a pretty good position here as long as you don't attack I can get away." Jagter began to back away slowly but kept his aim on the shinlai. "I don't know much about shinlai but you seem to be abnormal if your intent is to attack me I will defend myself." Jagter had planned his moves in case the shinlai decided to attack "If his fire, water, or earth i'm safe; if he's air or shadow I may have a problem."

"I'm raising my weapon to defend myself. Plus I'm in a pretty good position here as long as you don't attack I can get away."

Volpe laughed again, "You forget my element, human. I needn't claws nor teeth by means of attacking." He spoke smoothly, his eyes flashing dangerously. "I could kill you, blind you even, without moving a muscle." Volpe killing him without moving was, of course, a complete fabrication although burning wasn't out of the question. Blinding though... well, it was how Volpe blinded his own six eyes.

"I don't know much about shinlai but you seem to be abnormal if your intent is to attack me I will defend myself."

"Abnormal?" Volpe asked, his voice amused. "Simply because I dislike your kind? Because I wouldn't mind spilling your blood?" Volpe laughed malevolently. "Am I not allowed to have my own opinions? Is it considered 'abnormal'?" Volpe snarled, his muzzle twisting horribly. "You humans are all the same. You see nothing but beasts. Not thinking, sentient beings."

"Oh I don't know." A voice called over to Volpe from the tree line. "Some humans seem very beast like too." The voice almost purred, moving out of the tree line the slender woman moved over to Volpe's side. Close enough to show she was on his side, but not so close as to invade his space.

"Long time no see." She shot in his direction with a smirk. Hardly glancing at Jagter and Selousi, she glanced over Volpe's scarf. 'Well that's a new addition.' She mused, before pulling a dagger from under her coat and picking at the dirt under her nails. Her hair was obscuring most of her face, but dried blood was evident and a cut ran just under her hairline. She'd been through the wars. Again.

"You forget my element, human. I needn't claws nor teeth by means of attacking." Jagter smirked "I understand that you could easily kill me but an advantage I have over you." how fast and far can your elemental power reach before the the bolts kill you? Huh?" "I'm quite a shot with this thing I could unload 3 or 4 shots before you reach me." he paused "And depending on your element my bolts will reach you long before your attack even hits." Jagter saw the woman come down from the tree and spoke to the aggresstive shinlai "Long time no see." she said slyly. "whose this woman?" "She knows this shinlai?"
the questions ran throught Jagter's mind "Reguardless I need to keep an eye on that shinlai and plan my defensives and offensives but first I need to know what element he is." the it struck him "All this talk about killing me with ease which is your element fire, water, earth, air, dark, or light?"

Breeze stopped beside Candy, "Hey Candy, it nice to see you again." She said, smiling, and sitting. "Is Rubisa around or are here on you own?"
A growl reached her ears, and she turned in the direction it came from, frowning, and spotted a familiar woman, as well as an unfamiliar man and two shinlai. The male and man looked about ready to fight, and the female was looking nervous.
"Well, there goes the peace and quiet." She muttered, not moving. She'd prefer not to get involved.

Selousi was confused. Volpe didn't look all that menacing. But he still sounded pretty angry. Of course she was on his side mainly. Jagter really didn't know anything about shinlai. She sighed. Maybe she could handle this. After all she didn't want to see someone end up dead or blind if the shinlai was serious. She furrowed her brows beneath her mask and stood up as tall as she could. Of course, she was a petite shinlai as is but that didn't mean that she couldn't defend Jagter.
She stepped in front of him and stared Volpe in the face. "Uh, can we just stop all of this. It's really quite silly and I do not appreciate it. Especially if I am standing so close by!" she puffed. "In fact, I think that this is probably the first time that I've said this because I just can't stand being by two arguing idiots! Sure you two have your points. Maybe less for Jagter, but just because you got into a fight over a difference in species doesn't mean that you have to argue over this! This is ridiculous!" Selousi growled. She stomped her right foot down and the ground cracked. She was fed up. Fed up with sitting on the sidelines.

(Wyco, it's a lot easier to tell what Jagter's thinking as opposed to what he's saying if you put what's he's thinking in italics. I'm afraid I'm confused if he's talking at parts or just thinking.)

"Oh I don't know. Some humans seem very beast like too."

Volpe turned his head behind him to the woods and a slow smile spread across his face. He would recognize that voice anywhere. "Very true my friend." Volpe bumped his shoulder into Iapto kindly, grinning as he looked down at her.

"Long time no see."

"As to you." Volpe heard metal against leather and chuckled, listening to her play with her dagger. He smelled the distant trace of blood on her. "Getting into trouble again, Iapto?" He laughed. He didn't think he had ever been more pleased to run into the thief.

"I understand that you could easily kill me but an advantage I have over you. How fast and far can your elemental power reach before the the bolts kill you? Huh? I'm quite a shot with this thing I could unload 3 or 4 shots before you reach me."

Volpe glanced back up, lip curling once again. "How rude." He muttered under-breath, for Jagter had interrupted him greeting Iapto. "Truly you must be joking. Tell me, are you faster than the speed of light? Because, I kid you not, that's how fast I am able to attack."

"All this talk about killing me with ease which is your element fire, water, earth, air, dark, or light?"

"A further insult. Now he calls me an idiot." Volpe rolled his eyes, "Do you really think I would tell you? Besides, an attack from me and you'll never aim that again."

Volpe just noticed Selousi when she moved, standing tall and approaching Volpe. Volpe looked down at Selousi, who was considerably shorter.

"Uh, can we just stop all of this. It's really quite silly and I do not appreciate it. Especially if I am standing so close by! In fact, I think that this is probably the first time that I've said this because I just can't stand being by two arguing idiots! Sure you two have your points. Maybe less for Jagter, but just because you got into a fight over a difference in species doesn't mean that you have to argue over this! This is ridiculous!"

Volpe growled, as the Earth shook. Well, it was clear what element she possessed. "You turn against your own kind?" Volpe questioned, his voice smooth. He aimed to confuse and guilt Selousi. "Surely you hear the validity of my argument and see him pointing his pathetic weapon at me? This is much more than a difference in species," he growled.

Selousi gaped for a moment then shut her mouth in embarrassment. "I'm so sorry. I really don't know what got into me.. Erm. I know you have a valid point and I agree with you completely. Jagter doesn't know squat about shinlai and he certainly wouldn't stand a chance against a girl that accompanied one." she said turning to Iapto.

(Thanks I shall put his thoughts in Italics Sorry for any confusion I shall also clarify to make the distinsion.)

"Truly you must be joking. Tell me, are you faster than the speed of light? Because, I kid you not, that's how fast I am able to attack." the shinlai said boastfully "He must be a light shinlai which means he'll use illusions a lot, but I notice the scars he may have blinded his attacks maybe fast but not accurate."
"Do you really think I would tell you? Besides, an attack from me and you'll never aim that again." Jagter laughed "Well you don't have to tell me your boasting indicated that your a light shinlai likely and most light shinlai use illusions or try to blind with flashes of light." Jagter realized how luck he was as he hear light elements mostly use illusions rather then direct offensives ablities. Jagter had seen that Selousi was upset and wanted to wall away and he wanted to too.
In his mind he was happy to have Selousi by his side in this instances because he thought she discourage the other shinlai to attack him. When Selousi said "I'm so sorry. I really don't know what got into me.. Erm. I know you have a valid point and I agree with you completely. Jagter doesn't know squat about shinlai and he certainly wouldn't stand a chance against a girl that accompanied one." it made feel outside the loop. "You know this shinlai?" he asked Selousi "Why is he trying to attack me?" "And what do you mean I don't stand a chance if he was going to attack me he will now be more likely to attack me." Jagter looked the light shinlai then at the woman "Iapto is it? Do you know this shinlai?" Although Jagter felt like he stood some chance against the shinlai he still felt uneasy

When the earth shinlai butted in and stomped her foot, Iapto quietly drew her other knife, keeping it tucked under her arm as she continuded cleaning her nails. She gave a snort listning to them talk before giving Volpe shoulder a light pat, time to be rude, and ignore the others.

"Hey Volpe, there's some deer over the other side of the meadow. Bet I can bring one down before you." She challenged with a smile, moving so she had but herself between Volpe and Jagter. "Could catch some deer, make a barbeque, or not. And once we've eaten. Find some water, I need to wash this blood off of me." She listed, twirling one knife in her hand.

"Oh and hows that trick with your element going?" She asked, thinking of the time she suggested 'hard light'. It had be a while since she saw Volpe, and was wondering if he'd continued it or not.

"Well you don't have to tell me your boasting indicated that your a light shinlai likely and most light shinlai use illusions or try to blind with flashes of light."

Volpe laughed, "Try to blind? The eyelid is less than a millimeter thick. I assure you I could easily succeed." Volpe paused, digging his claws into the ground angrily."Don't be so closed minded, human. I could intensify the sun- which is shining bright today- as give you third degree burns all over your body." Volpe raised a brow (eye ridge?), "While I've never been burned myself, I heard you don't even feel the extent of the damage- all your nerves are burned off as well."

Volpe felt a hand on his shoulder and looked down at Iapto, momentarily distracted. "Hey Volpe, there's some deer over the other side of the meadow. Bet I can bring one down before you. Could catch some deer, make a barbeque, or not. And once we've eaten. Find some water, I need to wash this blood off of me."

Volpe gave one last fearsome snarl in Jagter's direction before turning to walk away, huffing irritably. "I might be blind but your a good three times smaller than me." He laughed, "I'm not so sure you would best me in that bet." He cocked his head, as he often did when he was curious or unsure, "Are you cut, Iapto, or is that another's blood all over you?" He smirked, amused.

"Oh and hows that trick with your element going?"

Volpe raised a paw, collecting light in it and hardening it- creating something resembling a spear. "Excellent, I couldn't be happier you suggested it. I'm working on creating a shield, a forcefield if you will." Volpe fashioned the spear quickly to look like one of Iapto's daggers. "I'd give it to you to use- the blade never dulls- but I can't quite keep it up for long. Although that's another thing I'm working on."

"Maybe, but I'll give it a good try." She said with a smile, walking along side Volpe, taking long smooth stride so Volpe wouldn't have to dawdle. "I've got a few cuts, but as for the blood. I'm not entirely sure." She said with a half laugh. She scratched her forehead, managing to remove a bit of the blood, but the rest didn't seem to want to move.

She stopped rubbing her head as Volpe created a spear. "Ohhh..." She said, eyeing the light spear, her klepto tendencies sparking up and instantly wanting it. But Volpe changed it to look like one of her daggers.

"I'd give it to you to use- the blade never dulls- but I can't quite keep it up for long. Although that's another thing I'm working on." He said.

Iapto reached out and took hold of it. "I imagine that the longer you hold it's shape, the more energy it'll take up?" She suggested. "Can you keep it up long enough to corner a deer?" She asked, a devious smile spreading across her face.

"Don't be so closed minded, human. I could intensify the sun- which is shining bright today- as give you third degree burns all over your body." Volpe said.
the light shinlai turned and walked away Jagter realized how close he was to shooting the shinlai "If I had pulled the trigger a bit harder all hell would have broken loose." He sighed "I had a clear shot for his neck if I had of place two there it would not have likely killed right away."Nervous with his brush with an aggrestive shinlai he was not so eager to meet the others ahead. "Maybe I should let Selousi do the talking." he mumbled to himself

"I've got a few cuts, but as for the blood. I'm not entirely sure."

"I can heal them, if you would like...?" Volpe had little sparks of light flying around him, as usual. He only needed to concentrate it in one place to heal. "What trouble have you gotten into?" Volpe grinned teasingly.

"I imagine that the longer you hold it's shape, the more energy it'll take up?" She suggested. "Can you keep it up long enough to corner a deer?"

"It doesn't take all that much energy. If you wish I can turn it into something else. A bow and a couple of arrows, a spear, one of those things." He shrugged. "It's pretty light, yes?" Volpe questioned, obviously quite proud. "I think it's rather eye catching myself, I love the blueish-silver color." Volpe laughed. He was only able to see it, because of how it was literally made of light.

Candy withdrew deeper into the cave... wanting to make herself very small at the tension outside. "I... I don't know where Rubisa is.... I can't remember..."

Selousi looked at Volpe. So he was a light shinlai after all. At least Jagter wasn't wrong about that. She angled her head and glanced back at Jagter, whom was mumbling something that she couldn't understand. She also could feel something in the earth around her. Perhaps it was the blue and pinkish shinlai from earlier that she saw. She cocked a brow under her mask. There were quite a few beings here. What was so important around here anyways? Maybe it was a popular route to several places. After all the mountains were cut in such a way that you wouldn't have too many obstacles or climbing to do. She looked at Iapto, who had several battle wounds. She also had a knife pointed at her as a precaution, which set Selousi into a nervous state.

She lowered her head a tad and looked around for the any sort of dips in the ground. There was one far off in the distance. She could probably intercept any tunnel that was being made.

Selousi pawed at the ground. It wasn't exactly the eat place to dig so she backed up and trotted around the dangerous Shinlai and human pair and headed over to the cavern.
